But when there are John’s Pass events, there is even more reason to be excited! So what’s going on in the coming events at John’s Pass? Read this guide to find out everything you want to know for a visit to the area!

Trick or Treat John’s Pass Village

Who doesn’t love a little Halloween fun in October!? Halloween sandbar party, anyone?

If you are looking for a place for your kids to have a fun time trick or treating this year, you should bring them down to John’s Pass Village and Boardwalk for some fun and spooky times!

If you are a business, this is the perfect opportunity to register to hand out candy to get your business name out there!

The event begins at 5 pm on October 28, 2022, for the door-to-door trick or treating and ends around 9 pm at the John’s Pass Bell Tower. The trick-or-treating event will go from business to business on the boardwalk and in the village so your kids can safely trick-or-treat this year.

Once the trick-or-treating ends, there will be live music and bands, fun for all, and games at the Bell Tower and all along the village! You don’t have to trick-or-treat all 4 hours either—you can head over to the Bell Tower early to enjoy the live entertainment and fun for the evening!

To park for the event, you can find parking anywhere around John’s Pass Village. The city lots run at $3.00 per hour, but different lots are also available at various rates.

Trash Pirates Monthly Beach Clean-Up

if you want to spend your day doing something great for the community, then heading over to the Trash Pirates Beach Clean-Up is the perfect way to do so!

On November 5, you can show up at Archibald Memorial Beach Park to help pick up trash around the beach. This helps to keep the environment clean and safe for the animals and the people who visit the area! Everyone who sits on the beach thanks you for this!

Without you all as volunteers, the beach would not be as wonderful of a place as it is!

Another beach clean-up happens on December 3 of this year, which will be the last monthly beach clean-up event in 2022, so make sure you get out there for one of them to make your 2022 count!

56th Madeira Beach Festival of Lights Annual Boat Parade

The John’s Pass Boat Parade has been around for years—56, to be exact! It’s one of those events you do not want to miss—whether you are visiting or live here full-time!

It’s the perfect time to get into the festive spirit and experience everything Christmas on the water has to offer!

The boat parade starts at 6:00 pm at the American Legion Post 273 and ends at John’s Pass. You can go between these two spots to see the parade, and you can even stop at several places to watch the parade! It lasts four hours until 10:00 pm, so there is plenty of time to move around to different locations along the route to see the boat parade.

If you want, you can even stop along the John’s Pass boardwalk for a bite to eat while you wait for the parade to finish—or after you watch part of it!

John’s Pass Ugly Sweater Pub Crawl

Are you a fan of pub crawls? Well, making it an ugly sweater pub crawl makes it even better! You can choose to wear your ugliest sweater to the pub crawl.

To enter, you must pay $10 for a donation or give an unwrapped toy as a gift to benefit Santa’s Angels.

The ugly sweater pub crawl is happening on December 16 from 6 pm to 10 pm. It’ll start at the Bell Tower, and the crowd will make their way to Caddy’s John’s Pass for the contest at the night’s end.

That means you better be sure to bring your best ugly sweater to try to win the contest!

But what do you get at each pub that you go to? Every business that participates will create a drink special for you to choose from if you decide to! But no matter what, the pub crawl is a fun time for a good cause.

For parking, you can find parking along the village for $3.00 per hour. Otherwise, you can always take a ride share to the event to be safe if you choose to drink.

John’s Pass Seafood Festival

The 41st John’s Pass Seafood Festival is coming in January of 2023! This event has been one of the most popular events in the area, with tons of vendors and sponsors at the event!

Since John’s Pass is right on the gulf, this event is one of the most popular for everyone to get their seafood fix! There are many options for fresh gulf seafood and hundreds of local vendors that sell arts and crafts. Many activities are family-friendly, and there are other events and live music at the three-day festival.

This is one for the books, and once you come once, you won’t want to miss it! You may need to get a rental for 2024’s so that you have the 42nd annual event on your calendar!

As the event gets closer, you will be able to see the lineup of events, from the actual seafood festival to the live bands and the list of vendors. For now, you must know that you will have the time of your life and leave with a full belly. And the best part?

You get to come back the next day to do it all again!

Water Activities

If you are less about walking around and shopping or dining and more about the water activities, there is plenty of that for you.
